Photograph of a bobcat in the wild

Being out in nature is one of my greatest joys, especially setting off in my kayak for a quiet paddle to observe the wildlife all around. In Maine, one never knows what is going to appear. Just recently I saw my first wild bobcat and snapped a beautiful shot out of my window (shown above as a canvas wrap). A red fox often trots by... The pond by my home has offered opportunites to photograph otters, a fisher, blue herons, snapping and painted turtles, loons and eagles. A pileated woodpecker is a regular around the house along with squirrels and chipmunks. While photographing ice formations, a muskrat swam close by. Out on Penobscot Bay, seals are a regular and welcome sight. I hope you enjoy viewing these images as much as I enjoyed taking them.
